Proactive approach to safety
Traction Solutions Limited employs certified Walkway Auditor Certificate Holders (WACH). These certified personnel, have also undertaken training in the understanding and interpretation of multiple international standards as it relates to safety and building codes.
Based on ANSI-B101.1 Walkway Safety Standard for Hard Surfaces, the owners and developers of new facilities should adopt a proactive approach to compliance with this standard. This proactive approach by conducting the sample testing of tiles which one is interested in installing can prevent a costly mistake from occurring, not to mention ensure that safety is considered and prioritised from the design stage.
Overview
Our approach provides a Coefficient of Friction (COF) profile of the floor surface that gives a true indication of how safe a walkway surface is under various conditions. These tests would be conducted and a comprehensive report that is easy to understand, enables the stakeholders of a facility or corporation to assess the level of risk as it relates to slip resistance that the surface may pose to walkway safety.
